Day 54 - Sunday, January 3, 2016 #365project

Well, the run of vacation time came to an end today. One of my new year's resolutions was to try and get much more than a paltry 785 miles I had last year on my bike.  I was able to hop on the Trek 2300 yesterday and dayummm, it felt like a feather after pushing that tandem around the past two months.  It felt light, responsive, and super quick. I forgot what that felt like over that past six months as I've been riding easy, on the fat tire townie, and the tandem. Felt great to be in the saddle again.  A short ride yesterday to get the cold air in the lungs and then again today, with a longer mileage goal.  Jen's shoulder hurt so it was an easy steady pace, but boy i'm ready to ride this thing back on the commuter trail again!  For today's ride, I brought along the land camera as the clouds were beautiful and the sun was casting a nice orange hue on the horizon about an hour or two before sundown.  It ended up being a beautiful ride today.
