Day 65 - Thursday January 14, 2016
I tried again to attempt to take night portraits during Garrett's practice tonight. After dropping him off, I drove with tripod and 24mm lens to the Don Tristan DeLuna Statue in downtown Pensacola with some great ideas to use the bulb again and spot flash on the statue. I really don't know why I can't remember this simple fact. USE MANUAL FOCUS at night! It worked greatly using the ultra wide, because it's manual, but for some reason, I got lazy and used the auto focus in the dark. What the heck is the camera focusing on???? Bad decision by me, especially after I just glanced at the screen after taking multiple pics of the statue, which I thought would have turned out awesome. What I got was somewhat of a blurry mess. I'll post these as a lesson-learned post. I'm hopeful to go out there again and fix this tragedy.
