Day 71 - Day 74 January 20 - January 23
Day 71, Wednesday January 20, 2016
I really like the Thai signature dish. Stupid coupon. had to get drinks in order to have the coupon work. Whats the point of saving 6 bucks if youre just going to spend it on soft-drinks? Love the food though. Jen and I were going to grab a beer at the bridge, but between a frigid Friday night and a free crawfish boil, we turned around as soon as we saw the amount of people there. It was complete madness. We instead chose a Chocolate Orange IPA and a six pack of Azacca from Founders, our new fave IPA. Still waiting to hear back from Uber. I have basically a perfect driving record, and work with cops. What else could they possibly need???
It's been a busy week. And it's been cold. So cold. I'm not too motivated to take pictures, especially when we have so much going on. We recovered pretty well from the 30a songwriters festival. Loved it. Amazing time--so amazing in fact, that we plan on going next year and buying tix in advance before we even know who's playing!
Unfortunately we had our first homicide of the year on Wednesday. Found a 29 year old female shot in the head on the streets in the projects of Milton. Been a busy week for that kinda thing too. My job can be very busy at times!
I broke out the macro this week and just took random pics of pets, and eyeballs. Something about a macro pic and eyeballs that facinates me. you see so much in the details that you don't get everyday and take for granted, so, since I'm lame and stuff, I will just post pics of eyeballs for the next few days.
I decided to attempt to be an uber driver. I applied yesterday and am currently still waiting the results of my 'background check', which is supposed to take 7 to 10 days instead of 5 now. I was told that it's somewhat rewarding and is a good source of secondary income. I figure it'll keep my consumption of beer down on weeknights too. Hopefully no one will vomit in my car, but by being close to the beach and having Mardi Gras right around the corner, I figure i might be able to put some money aside for lenses and stuff, and also give me an opportunity to save a little bit to pay for my daughter's insurance side of our little love turning 16.
Unfortunately, my stupid old ass laptop is not taking my card from my camera. it's very fickle. I'll upload some pics from these past three days when I get my card situation fixed.
Day 72, Thursday January 21, 2016
Day 73, Friday January 22, 2016
The bittttttter cold is kicking in and the Northeast is under a blizzard warning. All I'm currently seeing on IG is photos of all the snow accumulation in the north east along with the huge amounts of snow--more than what Nashville has seen in the past 13 years! Bombardment of snow pics. Jen and I got an opportunity to go out tonight as Avery is sleeping over at a friends house and GT made some pizza. We decided to use our coupon on Thai 54, then maybe hit the bridge bar for it's 7th anniversary.

Day 74, Saturday January 23, 2016
Lazy weekend.

Between the bitter cold and just wanting to hang out inside, it was a pretty easy weekend. We did get our thrift store trips in though. I couldn't help it but when shopping with Jen I came across a beautiful older Dell Xps 400 for the low price of $30 bucks! A multimedia computer with XP, and, bonus after firing it up--all the possible information a bad guy could want on a non-wiped version. This chick left her SSN's her family numbers, bank account numbers...WUUUUUT??? I can't believe that if this would have gotten into the wrong hands she'd have been paying a pretty heavy fraud bill. And that was just skimming the top on what I found on the computer. Didn't even get into any forensic searches at all. Ugh. Rosa, I now have your address, you family's SSn's, DOB's and bank acct numbers. Why on earth would you do that? By your budget, it appears you make pretty good money! If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough.

Got to see GT vs Gage in basketball too. Bonus, my sister went and showed up with my bro to watch. Exciting game but we lost by two points 37-35. Bummer but was a lot of fun to watch. Stayed a little while and watched the next class afterward to watch my nephew play. Big difference between the u/14 and u/16 bracket--HUGE.
