Day 103, Day 104 Monday February 22, Tuesday February 23, 2016
Day 103 - Monday February 22, 2016
I got some bad news of note this week, the Sheriff's office lost an awesome dedicated employee who was the admin assistant in the Pace office. Very unexpected, more than likely from complications of the flu. She leaves behind two beautiful daughters and two grandchildren. Rest in Peace, Nancy, you were loved by many.
Day 104--Tuesday February 23, 2016
I'm currently sitting here underneath a severe weather/Thunderstorm/Hail/ Tornado warning watching the TV. It's supposed to blow thru here in the next 45 minutes. As much as I pray that it doesn't come this way, I couldn't help but take a quick couple of pics of my dad's Redbud tree, that is deciding to bloom early. I guess the trees always bloom earlier when they're in the septic drain field. No wonder he had a magnolia that was 100 feet tall, and a grapefruit tree that used to put out a thousand huge grapefruits a year. The tree will probably get even more 'juice' as he had a new septic drain field put in (as evidenced by the sand in the background) Can't wait to see what the 'fertile crescent' does.
Another sad note: My good friend and co-worker's husband died this afternoon after a valiant bout and fight with cancer. Mark was awesome as he raised an awesome step-daughter and had a very awesome wife. My prayers are with Hayley Lee tonight and her daughter Holley. If there is a good thing about cancer, it's the time you have to say goodbye. Rest in Peace Mark.
