Well, lucky for us the storm subsided with no damage in our part of the county. My friends didn't fare as well, losing two huge trees in their back yard, but luckily they fell away from their house. A few blocks away, a whole apartment complex was decimated, along with about 25 homes. Just a horror. Luckily also, no one died. My co-worker, Holley, who recently lost her father to cancer (wrote about yesterday) lives very near the path, luckily, the home and yard (for the most part) was spared also.
But, on a usual basis in Florida, mean storms give way to what sometimes are beautiful skies in the aftermath. Today was no exception. More stumps at the naval live oaks with the wide angle.
