Day 88- Sunday February 6, 2016
Went to watch my son play his last of three games this basketball season. He had an outstanding game today as we only were fielding 5 and they all had to play the whole game. Showed a lot of heart out there today. Gt ended up with 8 points, and another double digit amount of rebounds. They won by 7 after the other team made it close, again, late in the game. Eli fouled out on our team today, but, luckily, there was only 8 seconds left in the game.
We went directly to the parade downtown afterward and grabbed our spot with my sister-in-law on Zaragoza and Palafox. Did I say I'm absolutely loving my 10-18? Yes, Yes I am. It's an amazing lens in bright light--I just need to make a lens hood a priority, especially if we decide to go to Bear lake next weekend. Figured I'd use it on some urban pics too. Figured this gal was representative of what Mardi Gras Parades are all about.
I tried to capture the rest of the revelry, but this one along with family pics, were the ones that worked best for me.
