Day 99 - Wednesday February 17, 2016

I take walks at work now due to my Garmin Fitbit wrist chumpy. I need steps. I also take my camera to work in case a pic of interest comes up there.

This morning while reading a friend's facebook post, he talked about a single vehicle motor accident he was behind that occurred right in front of him on a rural road in Alabama.  He saw a man get ejected from a vehicle, which then caught fire.  As he stopped to be with the man while EMS was called, he stated as he watched an amazing person, with absolutely no regard for his own safety, jump in the back of the burning pickup truck, and pull out an infant and woman to safety, minutes before the gas tank caught fire. Incredible.

Luckily the man only suffered multiple fractures, but he was unsure of the infant or woman's status.  I pray that this will never happen to any one that I know, especially family and friends.  24 Frames.  One second.

I pray my daughter's self-driving skills will be enhanced and will be protected by angels and that she makes proper decisions as she will be behind the wheel alone.  I can also only hope and pray that people will put down the God Damned cell phones and be more vigilant of proper driving practices.  That phone message is really not that important, but we all do it--just gotta check one thing, etc. Hope my buddy gets over the trauma he must have felt by watching that whole thing unravel in front of him. In the post he stated he could still hear the man's screams for his woman and child who were still in the vehicle as he rendered aid. Horrifying.

So, today as I walked around my compound on my .4 mile walk that I take every day now, i saw a creamed vehicle on a trailer. More then likely being held on the grounds as evidence, or maybe a don't drink and drive type thing for schools.  It got my attention today as I wondered what happened for this kind of thing to happen to whomever the driver was, how he/she was, and what caused the whole thing.

Please drive safely.
