Day 129 - Saturday March 19, 2016
Jurado makes me feel artsy. Even though I'm full of gumbo from the rotary club and full of $2 beer, I was able to go to the beach during golden hour with the kiddo and wifey for some late evening pics. The cloud cover was full tonight with pending rain though, and I gotta say, I need to work on ramping DOWN my iso settings when I'm taking pics in less than optimal lighting.
I even brought my flash tonight, but couldn't seem to get it dialed in. My daughter was my subject, but I guess the flash trigger seemed to be out of reach at 30 feet and was constantly misfiring or not firing at all using the 100mm lens. I was able to grab some real good pics though, however for some reason, the 2.8 setting to let the most light in, with 3200ISO made the pics very grainy. I'll have to keep that in mind next time I shoot. I really liked the way the 10-18 pics turned out but this is a 100mm monthly blog list, so I'm going to stick to my guns and only post the 100mm's I shot.
