Day 134 - Thursday March 24, 2016 - Happy Birthday, Son!

My boy turned 12 today. How can that be? One of his presents was a fitbit like Jen and I have. He planned on getting multiple steps--little did we know his first day goal would be 20000 of them!
We always try to go to Holy Thursday mass on this date. I don't know why, but the mass always has meant a lot to me, ever since I went with Jen while she was working on her confirmation to be Catholic at St Ann's over three years ago. Maybe it was an awakening of sorts that there are still some very cool Catholic masses. We definitely don't go to church as much as we should, but part of me also doesn't think God is mad at us for not going, especially when we feel him in many other ways, such as our Sunday time together and our walks and hikes we take admiring His beauty. Hopefully this weekend won't be a total and complete washout. Jen got us and Eisensees a spot at Bayou Davis National Park in Ocean Springs, MS. The forecast called for a beautiful Friday, but a less-than-pleasant Saturday with the rain rolling in around bed time. We shall see what happens.
