Day 136 - Saturday March 26, 2016

Day 136 - Saturday March 26, 2016 100mm (14)

Campfire coffee always tastes soooo good.  Today was no exception, but we left the campground early. As much as I wanted to spend another night there and test the tent for rain intrusion, we got a good taste right after breakfast. Apparently 10% rain chance means nothing to the National Parks that reside on the coast.  We got hammered with rain.

Did I say how happy i was the Joe and Amber brought their canopy? It did a great job keeping rain out for the most part, and withstood the early morning deluge.

I really need to scotch-guard our tent for our summer trip to the New England states.  Water came in a few places, so that'll be fun if we don't prepare.  It's one thing to leave early and go home on a two day trip. Totally different story if you're on a 17 day trip.

So, after drying everything out after we got home, we slept, and slept hard as the rain continued, and is supposed to, for the rest of today and into Easter Sunday.  Jen and I drank the rest of the beer we had, and cooked the leftover burgers (that didn't get eaten at camp) for dinner.  Watched KU and Villanova in a close game with Jen and GT while Avery went to a movie with friends.  Happy family time kinda Saturday.   I'll take it.

Oh, and here's the pic of Bart, the NP alligator we saw that was about 8 feet (bad quality--sorry) and my 100mm macro pic for the day, even if it was taken yesterday.
