Day 150 - Saturday April 9, 2016 #modifieds24o
So we were able to get a spot at Ft Pickens as a walkup. Contrary to how an sub 24 hour over night is done, we took all our stuff out by vehicle, and staged camp. Then drove back to get Amber, our neighbor (and yoga instructor) and our son to ride bikes to Ft Pickens, with the usual stop at PegLeg Pete's on the way to refuel. It was a beautiful ride out, but he he headwinds were a killer. A beautiful day 9 on #30daysofbiking.
We even stopped at a huge piece of driftwood for a break, and to stretch out some sweet yoga poses with Amber. Even GT joined in. It was a great time, and I was glad to spend some quality time with sonnyboy. The next day Avery came out and picked us and our camping gear up. No ride home for us in our sorry shape with headwinds blowing at 30 knots. I'll save my legs for later. Joe was able to come out and join us a little later and we were able to walk to the beach after a couple of beers and getting the fire finally started. Most of the day pics were taken using the 100mm at F8 1/500 200ISO
