Day 168 - Wednesday April 27, 2016
Today one of my best friends lost his mother-in-law; a neighbor of mine, so a very rapid lymphoma cancer. From what I heard, she had been under since the biopsy and never really recovered. It took two weeks. I was saddened to hear of this as she was a very nice woman, but one that I rarely saw. I feel for you tonight Margie, and seriously feel this sunset was given to us by her. So sad. I was also saddened to hear that another co-worker from long ago at the ECSO lost her life after a 10 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Seems like I've been surrounded by death lately.
On a lighter note, I got in another 8.8 miles today riding my bike around local neighborhoods. A little weird riding thru the trailer park--got yelled at by a dude hanging out in a no trespass area behind the power station, but kept on riding--later I hit Grand point East, Pelican Nest, then a long ride thru Sandpiper Village. It was a good ride with a creepy mistful fog all around. Learned that the Sandpiper Pier that Jen and I took a pic at about three weeks ago, is currently sinking--possibly into a sinkhole.. Strange. I love this dock. It was mangled however at the end so I steered clear.
