Day 187 - Monday May 17, 2016
Day 187-Monday May 17, 2016
Took the day off today. Been a little overwhelmed noticing the amount of death that has been happening around me lately. People 38 years old that I knew, dying of breast cancer--friends of friends, daughters, people you went to school with--sometimes it can be a little disheartening. One of my jobs at work is to go over obits and enter them in the master index of people we keep track of. There is usually a surprise at least once a week of someone I knew directly, or indirectly at one time. Sad really. More funerals than weddings nowadays. Guess that what older and wiser means--understanding the meaning of life and that some of us are luckier and get to enjoy life longer than others.
Live for now, is starting to become my motto.
Wanna get that assisted ride up Natchez trace set up--hopefully we can make that happen in October with Avery driving the assist van! We definitely need a VAN!
Got some courtyard yoga in though. Had to get rid of a bad sinus headache first then ended up being some tough stretching there but glad I went.
Rest of day was spent going thru withdrawals from no facebook somewhat--I had to create a dummy account just so I could use it at work to search out people that need to be researched. You'd be amazed at the time you save by not looking at senseless shit all day. I'm not going to delete it completely--at least not this time.
I liken it to smoking, which may or may not get easier, after you try to quit multiple times. "Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it 20 times"--some unknown. I know i quit though, and it. was. tough.
We shall see. Maybe I'll stay off it, maybe I won't. At least I'm trying it out.
