Day 189 - Wednesday May 18, 2016
Day 189 - Wednesday May 18, 2016
So today I was checking Craigslist at work.
Looking for Vans.
Up popped a 2006 Sienna CE minivan with 104,000 miles.
I think to myself, since this van is from a private owner, i'll need to figure a way to sell my 2010 Equinox.
Call Frontier. I owe 10,700 on it.
Get a price of possibly between 9750 and 10,300. Will i pay 400 for them to take 10000 worth of debt off my hands and cut it to $5000? I believe I will.
Got up with owner of Minivan.
Test Drove minivan this afternoon. It drove spectacularly.
Realized timing belt had not been changed.
Looked up timing belts.
Realized putting on new timing belts costs anywhere from $500 - $800 (if you include the water pump and other items so you do get hit again).
Pondering this whole thing, but really hope to have a minivan in the next couple of days.
Tomorrow at 11am I'll find out whether it'll be worth it or not.
Crossed fingers
BTW happy Craft Beer day. Thank you Mark (a distributor who lives in our hood) for the Lazy Magnolia 10 growler. it went down easy and left both me and Jen happy.
Cheers!
