Day 212- Friday June 10, 2016
Didn't feel creative in the least today, so I took a break from shooting. I know this is starting to become commonplace.
Day 213 - Saturday June 11, 2016
Another busy day had me working on bikes to get ready for our trip, and then I decided, in 100 degree heat, to refurbish our deck. our deckboards have been abused with no sealer since around 2008, when I built it. Eight years of Florida weather will absolutely destroy the surface of a deck, so I broke out the sawzall and started cutting the boards out. Once i flipped them over however, they appeared brand new, so I can hopefully reuse them and will be able to get another five years out of them before replacement. I'm happy with cheap costs, only being my own labor. Needless to say I drank about a billion gallons of water. You need to be careful in the Florida sun, because of the heat, and dehydration too. It will sap it from you quickly!
After my final break for the day, I decided to take my shower and cook gT's catch from Friday. Cobia filets drowned in butter caper tomato sauce. It was absolutely delicious. Thanks again Jamie for taking my son, and thanks to GT for that catch!
Not long later, we decided to head up to the bridge bar to watch Jen's brother's band heavykid play some tunes. Turned out to be a late night. And to think we were going to leave after about 20 minutes of being there. Luckily some friends showed up and we ended up having a good time.
