Another SUP day. It was a calm one on the Bayside so we went, late, to the bridge. I attempted to use the Nikon to get some photos of a cool driftwood foundation near the bridge. Photos taken with a Nikon S800c; landscape auto mode.
Before we went to put the boards in the water today, we had a scare. My sister sent me a text that she got a strange text from my mother (who lives across the street). I called Avery to go check on her. The house was locked and dad in out of town. Avery banged on the window to no avail. Panic started to set in for her as I could hear it in her voice. I drove home and banged on the window--hard. Realizing we didn't have a key, I almost pried the door open with the shovel (as we'd done so many times with Jen's late-mother) but eventually I decided to knock REAL hard on her bedroom window again. Mom answered--it appears she had her headphones in, and, she doesn't have good sleeping habits, so she has to take pills, so--when she's out, she's OUT. Crisis averted, but shook us all up a little bit. Avery the most. Glad the result was good though.
