Day 227 - Saturday June 25, 2016
The vacation is drawing ever nearer. A 16 day whirlwind tour of the north east to include Acadia NP (bucket list), Boston, Vermont, Connecticut, Cape Cod, and a finale day in NYC. I'm not sure whether to be excited or skeered! Needless to say, I'll probably be switching up the pics to the other blog on the TeamItchyFoot side of the house. I expect greatness to happen from this trip, especially with the photo opportunities that abound.
Today I put the trailer hitch on the Toyota minivan for bikes. I thought it'd be easy, but it was harder than it looked, with one bolt still on on the frame. I am hoping five will do the trick, but it's HOT out here in FL. I can only lay under a minivan so long, especially with screwed up elbows and shoulders. Hopefully I won't be blogging about losing our hitch and bikes at 80mph again!
Tonight we paddled out at 'mama's beach' and we took the kids with us. We try to paddle here once a year, but the traffic makes things difficult. What was worse was the multiple b.s. crosswalks every 30 feet going home. We were in mile long traffic at 8:45 PM! The SRIA has to figure this thing out. People are to walk on the beach, but not cross every 100 ft. Come on guys and gals--get.it.right!
Tonight's sunset paddle pics were taken with a Canon Digital Elph SD1000 7.1mp. Word of the day--yogapotamus.
