Day 289
Tonight we decided to ride on the beach, after I felt rotten most of the day. Needed to do something, so we rode bikes, hoping for a nice sunset. No such luck tonight. Cloudy skies, and thunder and lightning in the background. At least I got to spend some quality time with wifey, even if I did leave the camera in the bike bag. Thought we saw a waterspout from the top of the Bob Sikes bridge, but couldn't capture it as we were driving 45 miles per hour.

Later that evening during wind-down time I decided for some unknown reason to play Kasey Chambers on the Sonos. It seemed like yesterday my daughter was singing "I'll be damned if your not my man, before the sun goes down" when she was age 2. Tonight we relived the times when we used to sing those songs, and Avery brought up times she remembered while we used to ride in the truck on the way to work and sing. That's the great thing about music though, isn't it? Takes you back. Also, way to go New York, winning the LLWS for the first time since 64, and America's win for the first time in 5 years. Total excitement!
