Day 292
I keep the tripod in my car now. Tonight, after a quick busy day at work, we decided we'd play trivia at the local sports bar. It lasts from 7:30 to 9:30 every Wednesday night, so it won't be a weekly thing, but looked forward to doing something since we weren't able to see a sold-out John Moreland show at Callaghans. We were bummed but had fun just the same.
Came in Second place, of three teams. Multiple rounds where you bid on how you think you'll do. For the final round we bid 20 points (at a 10 point deficit to our friends) to try and win it all. Any idea what came first to last? NO GOOGLING the answer. Transformers, Slapbands, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Polly Pockets.
Stupid--can't believe that slapbands came out in 1983. Screwed us. Should have known that question was too easy. Trickery, trivia people, trickery.
The answer was Slapbands, Transformers, TMNT, and Pollypockets. Oh well. a $20 gift cert for second place? I"ll take it. Was a great time catching up with buddies we haven't seen in awhile.
