Day 297 - Monday September 5, 2016
Day 297
Another break in the weather this afternoon allowed us to go to the beach with the kiddos and Joe and Amber. I brought my makeshift ND filter to get some slow exposures on the beach. We originally planned to go to Chickenbone beach, but the foreboding clouds helped us make a decision to head eastbound toward Portofino Beach. I really didn't think we'd be able to spend an hour and a half out there, but beach weather plays tricks sometimes and gave us about that long out there. Thought we were only going to have about 15 minutes.
Not long after we got home from the beach I decided I wanted to go back to NLO and get some pics of wifey if she wanted to go. She decided she did want to go so we got there with a good amount of time and nice light. The clouds were in the background again. I don't really know why the Blue Angels like to fly over when I changing lenses, but they chose to again. I tried to grab a shot using my 50mm but it just didn't work out. I DID like they way my lovely wife's pics turned out though. MEOW! A great day, especially with college football starting.
