Day 298 - Happy 47th Anniversary, Mom and Dad

On Friday my boss gave me the opportunity to work from home.  I'm glad I took it as my lower back has been killing me over the past few days. I'm guessing it's from the lack of activity I've done for myself on this long weekend.  Today, after a busy day at home, Jen and I took GT to practice and did our walking around our 1.6 mile circuit.  This amazingly loosened up my back somewhat and made it much more bearable.

I chose the wrong lens today.  I had great light, and at the end of our Nature walk there is one of the largest spider's I've ever seen, building the most intricate web I've seen in awhile.  The 24mm didn't cut it and my macro was no where to be found.  I'll have to try that one again tomorrow.  After our walk and library time, we chose to go to the Bridgebar.  Once again, my 100mm would have been nice here.  The 24mm worked OK, but I wanted detail.  The Pelicans were on the rocks fishing with their beaks and I thought that would have made for some awesome pics, but alas, I settled for the best lens I had at the moment.  We picked up GT not long after and called it a night, eating beef brisket sandwiches and watching a vampire episode of the X Files. Based on lens choice, I didn't feel like editing them too greatly.
