Day 300 - Thursday September 8, 2016
Day 300
So, for 300 days (give or take), I've been attempting to learn about photography, and the best lessons I've learned, (which is what photography is, basically) is the use of light and how it effects photos, from the oooh's and aaah's to the point of having a feeling about a photo--the ones that touch the soul and grab one's attention. I like to think after 300 days I'm improving on a regular basis. I notice it myself just checking my instagram feed "@wobblyrob" over the past year, checking composition, and just seeing how my photos have changed over the past year or so.
I have sixty-five days left, and this has become more of a journal, documenting daily life, including picture learning. Maybe I'll just keep it up so I have something to reflect on later in life--oh yeah, that's the day when.......
I took today off as a day of reflection over the accomplishments from the past 300 days. It's hard to believe it's been a year (almost) already. I also started reading "It's what I Do" by Lynsey Addario. I was transfixed today reading about 100 pages of the novel. Talk about a badass! I couldn't put it down, and gave me new respect for photographers of war, and those who take chances under less than perfect conditions. Amazing read so far.
