Day 302 - Saturday September 10 (Happy Birthday Bae)
Day 302 - Happy Birthday Jen
After the Myrtle Grove drubbing, we rushed to Wahoo Stadium to watch the Argos crush Missouri S & T, 45-28. A great atmosphere, but it was hot and muggy, so we decided to leave after the third quarter when it seemed UWF had the game well in hand. Awesome to be a part of that electric crowd and see their team's inaugural home game!
Not long after, we headed home to watch UT/VT at Bristol speedway in front of, get this, 156,000 people-the largest crowd for a game, ever.
The love of my life turned 43 today. She celebrated by shopping with Avery in town, and watching football.
We had a full plate of football today. With college ball on TV, then my son's game at 4PM. My buddy told me it was Africa Hot on the field today. Ugh, the reprieve from the humidity was nice, but it came back with a vengeance. Unfortunately Gt's game didn't start until 4:30 today. We had tickets to the inaugural UWF FOOTBALL HOME GAME at 6 PM. I wasn't expecting to get there until 7PM, with our game starting late.
I thought it would take longer than expected. Our boys made very quick work of a Myrtle Grove Team, going up by 27-0 lead, grabbing three onside and fumbled kickoffs to start the game, and laid a whuppin on them, 43-0. Our second 43-0 win in a row. I gotta say, that was nice. Probably should have played 43 on a lottery ticket somewhere! When the team goes up 30-0 or by 30 points, the clock does not stop. We were able to leave by 6 PM and only missed about the first 8 minutes of UWF's first quarter. It's great seeing these kids work so hard and win so handily. We definitely have a talented team-Go Dolphins!

Ended the day with a couple of terrapin cold snacks, then shuffled off to bed.
