Day 312 - Tuesday September 20, 2016

Day 312

Tuesday nights are walking nights for me and Jen before we go to pick up GT from practice.  We always like to leave about an hour early before practice ends and walk the nature trail (to get steps) to hang out.  Kind of like cheap, date night with catching up on how the weekend was for both of us and how our days went this week. Not that we don't overly keep up or talk with each other during the week; just a little alone time in nature.

The huge spider that had inhabited the end of the walkway for the past month disappeared.  Must have gotten tired of us pointing a flash in his multiple eyeballs. "dude, i'm workin here, tryin to catch dinner."

Jen and I decided to walk toward the water for tonights' sunset pics. I was looking for places on the walk for the sun peeking thru the trees, but it was already too low in the sky. We decided to walk to the sound and rec area for tonight's pics.  They were OK.  We did find a cool brown mushroom on the trail, and I brought my flash, but the 24mm didn't do it justice.  I'll post it anyway.

Once we got to the water, we hung out about 10 or so minutes.  I liked the way the gazebo looked at sunset with the tungsten filter, so i grabbed a couple of shots, then we headed back to the field to watch the final minutes of conditioning drills before we headed home to watch another x-file.
