Day 325 - Monday October 3, 2016

Day 325

Got back on track today.  Back to decent pics.  I've been checking out this fence the past two to three days on the commute.  When I go in the morning, depending on whether I'm running late or not, I have great light, and there is this rusty gate up Garcon Point Rd.  It's still a little bit early for perfect light but I didn't waste my chance this morning.  I took a final pic with the X700 to conclude my roll, so I can get it developed and see if it's worth using the burnt film from the car again, or just throw it out.  Obviously this will make my decision easy, whether the film is screwed up or not.  I never hear about good things with film and heat.

Although It's not developed yet, I decided to take a backup with my cellphone.  it's not the best, but my commute in this morning was nothing short of fantastic with cloud porn and sunrises.  Even other drivers were pulling along the sides of the road to get the sunrise.  I picked a bad day to intentionally leave the camera at home.  Give me a break, it's Monday.

On a better note, the sunset was just as spectacular.  On a bike ride through the neighborhood, i noticed the scattered clouds and an undescribable red/orange sky.  I hopped back on the townie and headed down toward the water.  I my best Americana ideal, I saw an old charcoal grill in the middle of nowhere with the sun a little past optimal setting point.  I grabbed what I could and headed back home.  Since i was still in film mode, I edited this in NIK to give a film feel.
