Day 336
I brought my camera with me today. The sunrises are spectacular in October. The sun comes up between 6:40 and 7:10 AM, so the light is perfect. Today I noticed some funky dew on the grasses of Garcon Point Rd, which to me emanated fog or mist on the ground--the pic didn't exactly turn out as I'd hoped. Armed with the 24mm, I shot a few pics, with the wider angle and sign being the one I chose.

That wasn't the best part of the work commute though, as I was headed to work, I realized there were multiple jet trails across the sky. That was when I noticed the Blue Angel structure at the rest stop was in front of them. Unfortunately, the structure is on the westbound side of I-10! Well, it's only about 2 miles out of the way. I had this shot for a few more minutes until the jet trails faded, so yeah, of course i'll turn around at my exit and be 10 minutes or so late for work! Was it worth it? Absolutely--the thing is, you see light differently when you go a different direction from what you're used to seeing. I also noticed actual fall trees changing colors in the same rest area. Usually we don't see anything but brown or green in Florida, so this was a definite bonus too. All photos shot with Canon 24mm pancake lens.
