Day 353 - Monday October 31, 2016
Day 353
I thought of my costume today around 2:30 PM. Basically about a half hour before I left work for the day. Decided on Colonel Sanders, as I already have the goatee, and white shirt--how hard can it be anyway? My inspiration was from one of the LT's I work with that always calls me Colonel. Figured I'd go with it--not to mention I needed props so the family got fed too!
After work, i found a cheap white wig that Jen later cut back for me, and some white 'face paint' to color my beard and eyebrows. Avery put on my makeup and she did fantastic. Jen also used her artistry and bought a $1 kids tee shirt to make the tie. Then, a quick trip to the waterfront mission for some pants as white as I could get em. Found a pair, even in my size for $3! Luckily the Halloween party was at a friends house who is a DR, so I had the jacket covered too. Gotta say I nailed it! Love Halloween--I had the costume of the night, had chicks getting selfies with me, and some selfies of my own with my people. We definitely had us a time! The "Tommyknocker" Nut Brown Ales were high in alcohol though (higher than I expected) so luckily we were able to utilize the 'kid uber' and have our daughter drive us home!
